Stephen Baker brings an unusually wide range of both legal and business experience to the practice of law, which brings a unique depth and breadth to the services that he provides. His experience includes real estate, family law, contracts, and commercial law. His business background prior to law school provides him with an appreciation of the many interrelationships between these different areas of the law.
His career began in community banks and savings and loans. He ultimately served as the president of a newly-chartered national bank during its organization and start-up phases. After fifteen years in business, he returned to school for his law degree. In 1988, he graduated from South Texas College of Law in the top eighth of his class.
He has actively practiced law since 1988 and has maintained a wide-ranging private practice, both in the office and the courtroom dealing with family and business law, real estate, wills, and contracts.
He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
